OH MY GOSH. I can't believe this is my first OFFICIAL post as wickedsouthern!
First, thank you to everyone for your outpouring support as I begin this journey! I won't be perfect in this process (no one is) as I am still figuring out this exciting (and scary) blogging world. Thank you for being so patient with me! My goal is for you to get to know me by sharing my favorite styles, recommend some of my favorite beauty products, show you places or foods I love to eat (and you'll see I like to eat a lot), and bring you with me to all the places I travel.
Enough with the Jargon. Let's talk about some cute clothes, shall we?
It's winter and I'm feeling the winter blues so I thought I would bring back some resort clothes to "warm up" this freezing season. My husband and I traveled to Kauai, Hawaii on our honeymoon back in October and I, of course, went a little crazy with the shopping (any bride does)! So, I thought I would share one of my FAVORITE outfits from our trip!

The "Faye Dress" by Cinq a Sept is one of my absolute favorite dresses for three reasons: the low back is very flirty and fun, the big tassle tie softens the dramatic back and adds a subtle, unique detail, and the high neck in front ties everything together to make this a classy, "Little Black Dress". I LOVE IT! The dress may be sold out BUT Tobi has one JUST like it for $28.00. Check it out.
Let's chat earrings. I am someone who loves a good pair of dramatic earrings. First of all, these earrings are called the "KILLA EARRING" which is just too fitting because they really are KILLER! These earrings by Nannacay are multi-colored so I find myself wearing these A LOT! (Don't be intimidated by the multi-colors - I swear they go with everything). They're available at Revolve but J.Crew also has them in a red color combo here - which are super cute! For those that don't necessarily want to splurge - I found these really similar earrings on Etsy for $12.00. Very Similar and such a steal!
Now for the shoes. So many brands are recreating these Valentinos into knock-offs. If you got Amazon Prime - you may as well just buy these for $27.99 and just say "thank you" when someone compliments you. Your secret is safe with me :) Jessica Simpson also makes them at DSW and her shoes rock. They're a little more pricey (but not Valentino pricey) at $69.99.
Put it all together and you've got yourself a KILLA outfit!
